Binderless briquetting
with Pawert-SPM  well proved, today more topical than before.

Pawert-SPM is in the briquetting business since 1943 and has set up briquetting plants all over the world. With such briquetting plants Pawert-SPM is offering solutions for cellulosic residues such as wood chips, saw dust, planer shavings, bark, straw, cotton husks, coconut shells, peanut shells, rice husks...There isn't a residue we can't treat! The final product is a high quality solid fuel without any binders.

Having a range of diameter from 40 up to 125 mm and a range of  capacity from 100 up to 4'600 kg/h per unit, Pawert-SPM is in position to deliver what ever the market is asking for. Many residues, whose continous disposal means big problems in regard of technology and cost, can be converted into commercially and ecologically valuable products by the well proved Pawert-SPM-briquetting system.

A complete briquetting plant includes the following components:

If the moisture content and the particle size of the raw-material have the correct value, feeding of the raw-material directly into the briquetting press is possible.

Pawert-SPM plans every briquetting plant to the specific requirements of their customers. The chipping units and the dryers will be layouted and synchronized to the plant and bought by well-known manufacturers. The briquetting presses and log cut-off saws will be manufactured at our own works in Basel.

The briquettors are mechanical crank-type presses. The briquetting press has an electric motor. Power is transmitted by a flat belt directly to one of the flywheels on the crankshaft. Furthermore the rotary motion is transmitted from the crankshaft, the connecting rod and the cross head into a oscillating longitudinal motion. There are approx. 200 press-strokes per minute with a force of until 60 tonnes (approx. 120 N/mm2) which are producing the endless briquette line. The press frame is built in a high-quality welded steel construction, stess-free heated for heavy-duty continuous operation. The crankshaft is forged from special steel, precision grinded and equiped with two flywheels made from cast iron, machined all over. The crankshaft and the connecting rod bearings are of the plain type and are lined with special bearing metal. The cross head is hand scraped which gives a maintenance free operation to the machine for years. All bearings are connected with the forced flow circulation oil lubrication system. The oil pressure is controlled with a minimum pressure device. The briquettes are produced in the so-called die holder which is equipped with pressing tools. The dies can be adapted to a great extent to the briquetting conditions of the various materials.

There is an additional possibility of precisely regulating the briquette quality by a hydraulic aggregate. Furthermore, the die holder is equipped with ducts for heating or cooling. The log cut-off saw, which saws off one log after another as the briquette string exits from the cooling line. This log cut-off saw is part of a fully automatic shrink wrapping unit which packs 3-5 logs together to a handy package.

All Pawert-SPM-briquettors are built for continous operation and are supervised by several units. This makes it possible to operate the briquetting presses 24 h/day without any supervision by an operator.

The strong construction and the utilization of high quality materials in connection with precision and fine finish along Swiss standards guarantee a lifetime over decenniums.

A prompt and worldwide spare part and maintenance service during the whole life time of the machines is guaranteed.

Please note, that briquetting with Pawert-SPM-presses could be the solution in converting your residues into high energy products, and is probably the most economical solution.
